Applications are now being accepted for round 2 of the Good Food Fund Grant made possible by the Mayor of Chicago and Chicago BACP and administered by Allies for Community Business. The program provides grants between $10,000 and $100,000 to eligible entrepreneurs. Applicants must be in the food and beverage industry (growers, distributors, manufacturers, and grocers are strongly encouraged to apply), located in Chicago, hold a food and beverage business license (or apply for one), have filed a federal tax return in 2023, and have a business bank account. The deadline to apply is September 13, 2024.
Apply to the United Neighborhoods Equity Fund presented by United Way of Metro Chicago. This fund supports small nonprofits led by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) individuals and operating on Chicago’s South and West Sides and in the south suburban region. Recipients will receive up to $50k of unrestricted funds over two years, capacity-building with DePaul University faculty, and networking with potential funders and fellow cohort members. Eligibility requirements: BIPOC Founder or Executive Director, budget of less than $1,000,000, 501c3 status or fiscal sponsor, and community-based organizations supporting work at the intersection of economic development and social services. The deadline to apply is September 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
Apply for the Galaxy Grant Giveaway. This grant is for small business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs. Recipients will receive a $4,250 grant. The deadline to apply is September 30, 2024.
Apply to the Community Development Grant presented by the Chicago Department of Planning & Development. This grant will help support small businesses, nonprofits and property owners for local commercial, mixed-use and light manufacturing development. Apply by November 8, 2024.
