Now, in Phase 3, we’re diving into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. When the world changed, West Side Forward adapted. We temporarily closed our doors and pivoted to virtual programming, ensuring that our work continued through innovative virtual events, new programs, and crucial pandemic resources — especially for local businesses hit hard by COVID-19.
March 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic shuts down Chicago, prompting West Side Forward to switch to virtual services due to the pandemic.
April 2020 – West Side Forward relocates to 4100 W. Ferdinand.
May 2020 - West Side Forward and Small Business Majority partners for a "Be Your Own Boss- Virtual Business Bootcamp for Women of Color.
September 2020 - West Side Forward hosts a Virtual Job Snapback Summit.
